Why compare President Rodrigo Duterte to Adolf Hitler?

I have just read an article somewhere on the internet that compares President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to Adolf Hitler. One must know that Adolf Hitler is an infamous dictator of Germany that caused the genocide of Jewish people and communities in the lands that Germany controls during the World War II. The hatred of Hitler against the peace loving Jews cannot exactly be explained as Hitler has Jewish connections by blood and in society.

The article that I have stumbled upon tries to compare President Duterte to Hitler in that the Genocide that Hitler caused against the Jews can be likened to the "Extra-Judicial Killings" of drug suspects.

I would beg to differ in perspective. I believe that the two personalities are not the same, as are the activities that they are doing. Adolf Hitler, for one reason or another, killed helpless Jews. He tortured them and made them suffer. There was no clear reason why a race that does not bring harm to Germany should be treated in an inhumane way.

President Rodrigo Duterte, on the other hand, is dealing with the crackdown of the drug-related incidents in the country. President gives the drug users, drug pushers, and drug lords to come forward and give themselves up. If the drug suspect does not give up, then they search for him. The killings that involve the Philippine National Police (PNP) have reports that the drug suspects fought back, thereby resulting in a crossfire and ending with the death of the drug suspect. Without any actual proof and Court Judgment, the PNP is presumed to have acted in accordance with their Mandate. Also, the percentage that have died from those that have been caught and those that have surrendered are very small in that it is illogical to clearly conclude that drug suspects are actually subjected to Extra-Judicial Killings.

That said, the situation and the actions of both Adolf Hitler and President Rodrigo Duterte are very different from each other. The comparison is wrong and not effective.
